The Clipper Race - Setting Sail in Liverpool

August 19, 2017

Where better to take photos of The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race than from the water.  Our boats not only provided safety cover for the start of the race in Liverpool but we also provided boats for a camera crew to get them the best view possible and assisted in laying out the course.

November 03, 2016

National Marine Safety Boats very own 11.5 metre self-righting enclosed Wheelhouse RIB Deefender played a vital role in Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service Training and Development Academy Marine Rescue Casualty Evacuation Exercise on the River Mersey.  Great work from skipper Jason McShane and Crew Graham Bates.

Railway bridge maintenance Ramsgate

July 14, 2016

The team needed a head for heights as well as their sea (rather river) legs for this job.

Providing work boat and safety boat cover for the railway bridge maintenance in Ramsgate was no problem for the National Marine Safety Boats team.  We are specialists in difficult access sites for safety boats and work boats and have the equipment and expertise to keep sites and people safe, ensuring good work 'flow'!

Launch of the Stranford II Ferry

June 09, 2016

National Marine Safety Boats skilled skipper and crew hard at work on the launch of the Stranfordd II Ferry launch at Cammell Laird shipyard.

Still a hugely impressive sight to see such a large vessel launched - we don't think our crews would ever get bored of witnessing it.  It's also great to be part of a project that sees the maritime industry still putting vessels on the water and British shipyard's continuing to do what they're great at doing.
